Apple and Strawberry Crumble recipe

Enjoy this as a summery desert. Try with a little strawberry coulis or strawberry ice cream to make it even more refreshing.


175g plain flour
85g dark brown sugar
85g cubed butter
3 to 4 apples
1 punnet of strawberries


  1. Preheat the oven to 180C/gas mark 4.

  2. Rub the butter into the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs. Stir the sugar in and mix well.

  3. Peel and core the apples. Chop the apples into fine slices. Pop the apples into a baking dish.

  4. Hull the apples and chop them in half. Sprinkle the strawberries over the apples.

  5. Sprinkle the crumble over the top of the fruit and put into the oven for half an hour.

  6. Serve!
