A super sized version of delicate Italian crostini, in this recipe, an artichoke spread is slathered onto sliced bread and grilled until bubbling. A perfect dinner party starter or accompaniment to any grilled meat.
- 400g tin artichoke hearts, drained
- Good handful finely grated parmesan
- 200g mayonnaise
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt and pepper
- 1 large ciabatta loaf
Drain the artichoke hearts and finely dice. Mince the garlic cloves. Combine the artichoke, parmesan, mayo, garlic and salt and pepper in a bowl.
Slice the ciabatta loaf. Spread each slice with some of the artichoke mixture. Place onto a baking sheet. Place into a 180C oven and cook for 15-20 minutes until the topping is bubbling and slightly golden.
