Simple Artichoke Crostini recipe

Preparation Time: 15 minutes | Cooking Time: 20 minutes

A super sized version of delicate Italian crostini, in this recipe, an artichoke spread is slathered onto sliced bread and grilled until bubbling. A perfect dinner party starter or accompaniment to any grilled meat.


  • 400g tin artichoke hearts, drained
  • Good handful finely grated parmesan
  • 200g mayonnaise
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 large ciabatta loaf


  1. Drain the artichoke hearts and finely dice. Mince the garlic cloves. Combine the artichoke, parmesan, mayo, garlic and salt and pepper in a bowl.

  2. Slice the ciabatta loaf. Spread each slice with some of the artichoke mixture. Place onto a baking sheet. Place into a 180C oven and cook for 15-20 minutes until the topping is bubbling and slightly golden.

If you like, use a simple white sauce instead of mayo - it will take longer but you will get a slightly richer result. Recipe serves 8.
