Asparagus Wrapped in Parma Ham recipe

Preparation Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 12 minutes

A quick and easy way to serve asparagus, in this recipe, fresh asparagus spears are wrapped in parma ham, seasoned with salt and pepper then baked until golden and tender.


  • 12 asparagus spears
  • 6 slices parma ham
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Snap the woody ends off of the asparagus spears. Slice the parma ham slices in half. Wrap each stalk in half a slice of parma ham.

  2. Drizzle a little oil onto a baking tray. Arrange the asparagus in a single layer on a baking tray. Season with salt and pepper. Bake in a 200C oven for 10-12 minutes or until tender and golden.

Smoked parma ham works brilliantly well if you can find it, or you could even use very thinly sliced smoked bacon. Recipe serves 4.
