Bacon and Cheese Nibbles recipe

Preparation Time: 30 minutes | Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Sweet, salty, creamy and crunchy - this are super tasty nibbles that are perfect for parties. Dates are stuffed with goat's cheese and walnuts, wrapped in bacon, then baked until crisp.


  • 30 dates, stoned
  • 30 walnut halves
  • 8 tbsp. soft goat's cheese
  • 15 thin rashers streaky bacon, smoked


  1. Preheat oven to 180C. Make a slit in each date and stuff with around 1/2 tsp. of goat's cheese, and 1 walnut. Close the date around the stuffing if possible.

  2. Slice the bacon slices into two long strips each. Wrap each date in bacon slice and secure with a cocktail stick if needed, making sure that the dates are seam down on the baking tray.

  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is golden and crisp. Serve warm or leave to cool before serving.

If you want extra flavour, add a garlic clove to the goat's cheese. Recipe serves 10.
