Easy BBQ Bacon Wrapped Prawns recipe

Preparation Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Just two ingredients go into this simple party dish - bacon, and prawns! King prawns are wrapped in bacon, then BBQed until crisp on the outside and tender, soft and sweet on the inside. Serve with a zingy dip.


  • 20 large king prawns, peeled, deveined
  • 10 slices smoked bacon


  1. Slice the bacon slices in half through the middle, to leave you with 20 thin strips of bacon.

  2. Preheat the BBQ to a medium heat. Wrap the prawns in the one thin strip of bacon each and secure with a cocktail stick.

  3. Lightly oil the cooking grate. BBQ the prawns on either side for 1-2 minutes on either side until the bacon is crisp.

If you like, you can use turkey bacon instead of normal bacon to lighten the fat content. Recipe serves 5.
