Portobello mushrooms are marinated in oil, garlic and balsamic, then BBQed until tender and delicious. Serve in a burger bun, if you like.
- 4 portobello mushrooms
- 4 tbsp. oil
- 4 tbsp. balsamic
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 small red onion
- Salt and pepper
Mince the garlic and finely dice the red onion. Whisk together the oil, balsamic, garlic, red onion and a pinch of salt and pepper. Add the mushrooms, toss to coat, cover and leave to stand for an hour.
Preheat BBQ to a medium heat or preheat a griddle pan. BBQ or grill for ten minutes, turning two or three times during cooking.
