Want to prepare beetroot in a totally different way? Throw it on the BBQ! In this simple recipe, beetroot is dotted with butter and garlic, sprinkled with salt and pepper and BBQed until tender and sweet.
- 6 beetroots
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp. butter
- Salt and pepper
Scrub the beetroots. Mince the garlic cloves.
Cut out 6 15cm by 15cm squares of foil. Oil each piece of foil, place a beetroot onto each and sprinkle each with garlic, salt, pepper and some dots of butter. Scrunch the foil around each beet and place onto a medium BBQ.
Cook for 30 minutes or until the beets are tender.
