Make the most of the sunny weather with this deliciously different pear dish. Whole pears are seasoned with salt and pepper, BBQed until tender and then stuffed with a lovely mix of blue cheese and butter.
- 4 pears
- 4 tbsp. blue cheese
- 4 tbsp. butter
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
Slice the pears in half and scoop out the core using a teaspoon. Preheat the BBQ to a medium heat.
Brush the pears with the oil and season with salt and pepper. BBQ, skin side down for 5-6 minutes.
Turn the pears over. Stir together the cheese, butter and a little pepper. Stuff into the cavity of the pears and BBQ for 5-6 more minutes or until golden, tender and the cheese melted.
