Beef Marinated with Cumin recipe

Preparation Time: 24 hours | Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Beef strips are marinated in plenty of delicious herbs and spices, then grilled until tender and delicious. Serve with a fresh salad and some garlicky roasted potatoes.


  • 1kg sirloin steaks, sliced
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tbsp. cumin seed
  • 1 tbsp. chilli flakes
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp. oil plus a bit extra


  1. Whisk together Worcestershire sauce, red wine vinegar, lime juice, onion, garlic, cumin seed, chilli flakes, salt, pepper and 2 tbsp. oil. Add the oil, toss to coat, cover and then leave to marinade for up to 24 hours in a non-metallic bowl.

  2. When ready to cook, thread onto soaked wooden skewers and BBQ until pink in the middle.

Ramp it up with a little bit of extra chilli. Recipe serves 4.
