Brazilian Peanutty Squares recipe

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

These easy peasy, slightly salty, slightly crunchy peanutty squares are quite the classic Brazilian sweet. If you like, drizzle with chocolate before serving.

  • 250g roasted, skinless peanuts
  • 250g rich tea biscuits
  • 1 x 400g tin condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp. sugar

  1. Pulse the peanuts and biscuits in a food processor until they resemble fine breadcrumbs.

  2. Add sugar and pulse, then add the condensed milk and pulse until the mixture forms a ball that comes away from the sides of the food processor.

  3. Transfer to a 23cm square tin lined with greaseproof paper. Smooth out and flatten. Leave overnight, then cut into squares.

For a chocolatey sweet, pulse chocolate digestives instead of rich tea biscuits. Recipe serves 24.
