Breakfast Pizza recipe

Preparation Time: 40 minutes | Cooking Time: 40 minutes

This delicious homemade pizza is topped with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and cheddar cheese. It's naughty, but it's so, so nice - and easier to make than you might think too.

Ingredients

  • 220g plain flour
  • 160ml warm water
  • 1 x 7g sachet fast action yeast
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. caster sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 6 eggs
  • Bunch spring onion
  • 6 rashers streaky bacon
  • 2 sausages, sliced thinly
  • 125ml tomato sauce or pizza sauce
  • Good handful grated cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C. Pour the warm water into a large bowl and sprinkle on the yeast, sugar, salt and oregano. Stir and leave to sit until bubbly, then stir in 1/3 of the flour, followed by the rest of the flour. Cover with cling and sit for 15 minutes.

  2. Meanwhile, finely slice the spring onions and chop the bacon. Brown bacon and sausage in a dry frying pan until lightly browned, then add the onions and fry until softened, then the eggs. Cook until the eggs are just set through and are the consistency of scrambled eggs.

  3. Pull the dough out into a pizza shape on a greased baking sheet. Put the tomato sauce on top and spread to the edges, leaving 2xm space around the edge. Spread on the egg and bacon mix and sprinkle the cheese evenly on top.

  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pizza is golden and risen and the eggs lightly golden on top.

If you like, use a spicy sausage in place of the regular sausage. Recipe serves 4.
