Broccoli with Peas, Soy and Honey recipe

Jazz up your veggies and make your side dish exciting with this delicious broccoli and pea dish, flavoured with soy, sesame and sweet honey.

Ingredients

  • 1 head of broccoli
  • 100g frozen peas
  • 1 tsp. poppy seeds, toasted
  • 1 tbsp. sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. runny honey
  • 1/4 tsp. sesame oil

Directions

  1. Slice the broccoli into florets. Bring a pot of salted water to the boil. Drop in the broccoli and peas and cook for 2-3 minutes, then drain well.

  2. Whisk together soy sauce, honey and sesame oil. To serve, return the broccoli and peas to the dry pan, pour over the dressing, then scatter over half the seeds. Toss to combine and to serve, sprinkle with the rest of the seeds.

For a hint of spice, add a pinch of dried chilli flakes. Recipe serves 4 as a side.
