Cheesy Leeks recipe

This dish is very similar to the baked leeks dish, but it's done on the hob and it's lovely and rich.


  • 4 medium leeks
  • 200ml single cream
  • 1 knob of butter
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 50g parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Wash the leeks and then slice them down the middle lengthways before finely slicing them.

  2. Heat the oil and butter together and then sauté the leeks for ten minutes or so until they soften and become tender.

  3. Add the cream and the parmesan cheese and stir well. Season well and then reduce the leeks to a simmer. Cook for another ten minutes and they will be tender, sweet and creamy.

This dish serves four people as a side dish. Try adding a dash of Worcestershire sauce to pep it up a little bit.
