Swordfish is basted with a zingy chilli sauce on the grill, resulting in a wonderfully spicy, zingy, zesty fish dish with a delicious charred flavour in this recipe. Serve with ciabatta rolls or a big salad.
- 1kg swordfish steaks
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 250ml tomato chilli sauce
- 2 tbsp. cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- Lemon wedges
Finely chop the onion and garlic. Heat a little oil in a large saucepan and add the onion and garlic. Cook over a low heat until soft and translucent.
Add the tomato sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and black pepper. Stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes.
Preheat a griddle pan over a medium heat and brush the steaks with oil. Grill, basting with the chilli sauce, for 4-5 minutes on either side or until flaking. Boil any leftover sauce and serve on the side with the lemon wedges.
