These succulent pork ribs are perfect for family parties and they are a cinch to make. They have a sweet, savoury and rich flavour - serve with some noodles or some rice, or even a big mixed stir fry.
- 12 meaty pork ribs
- 100ml hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp. dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. runny honey
- 1 tbsp. white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp. five spice powder
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
Put the ribs into a saucepan. Cover with water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes.
Drain the ribs and leave to dry in the air for 10 minutes or so.
Combine the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, five spice and black pepper in a bowl. Brush the pork ribs with the mixture.
Grill or BBQ the ribs for up to 20 minutes until sticky and charred. Turn the ribs often, brushing with any additional mixture.
