Triple Chocolate, Irish Cream and Avocado Fudge recipe

Preparation Time: 1 hours | Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Rich, dense and ever so chocolatey - you'd never guess that there was avocado hidden in this creamy and substantial fudge. Plain and white chocolate, cocoa powder, Irish cream liquor and icing sugar combine to create a wicked fudge that you won't be able to keep your hands off!

  • 750g icing sugar
  • 250g plain chocolate
  • 100g white chocolate
  • 2 avocados
  • 175g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 125ml Irish cream liquor
  • 110g melted butter

  1. Slice the avocadoes in half, remove the stones and scoop out the flesh.

  2. Blend the avocadoes with a hand blender and the butter until smooth. Pour into a saucepan. Stir in the liquor. Gradually stir in the cocoa powder, then gradually stir in the icing sugar until fully incorporated. Take off the heat.

  3. Put the chocolate into a bowl and melt over a pan of barely simmering water. Once melted, add to the mixture in the pan and stir until incorporated.

  4. Line a 20x30 tin with greaseproof and pour in the fudge. Leave to chill and set completely and then chop into squares to serve.

If you like, use a flavoured Irish cream liquor such as hazelnut or mint to add extra flavour to the fudge. Recipe serves 8.
