These scones are sweet and are a lovely treat.
- 225g plain flour
- 5 tbsp. caster sugar
- 5 tbsp. butter
- 100g milk chocolate chips
- 4 tbsp. orange juice
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
Preheat the oven to 200C and grease and line a baking tray.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in the sugar.
Cut the butter into the mixture using two knives or a fork until it resembles breadcrumbs.
Stir the chocolate chips into the mixture and then pour in the orange juice.
Stir until everything comes together and you get a smooth dough.
Pat the dough into a circle that’s around 3cm thick and then cut out scones from the dough.
Place the scones onto the baking tray and bake them for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
