This easy-to-prepare and even easier to polish off chocolate, pear and almond tart is the perfect dessert to make if you have to prepare dessert in a hurry - it takes just 10 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to cook. Easy!
- 1 x 375g puff pastry
- 125g each unsalted butter, ground almonds and caster sugar
- 3 eggs
- 120g chocolate
- 60ml double cream
- 4 pears, peeled, cored and sliced
Preheat the oven to 190C. Grease a tart tin.
Line the tart tin with the puff pastry, crimping round the edges.
Melt the chocolate with the double cream over a double boiler. Leave to cool slightly and then spread over the base.
Meanwhile, beat together the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy and then add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the almonds and spread over the chocolate in the pastry case.
Layer the pear slices over the almond mix. Bake for 30 minutes or until the pastry is risen and golden.
