Chocolate Sauce recipe

Preparation Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 10 minutes

A delicious chocolate sauce perfect for drizzling over ice cream or for spooning over cakes, made with just 3 ingredients! Delicious warm or cool.


  • 100g dark chocolate (use milk or white if preferred)
  • 1 tbsp. salted butter
  • 3 tbsp. golden syrup


  1. Break the chocolate up into pieces and put into a bowl. Place the bowl over a pan of barely simmering water.

  2. Add the butter and syrup and heat, stirring gently, being careful not to add any water into the chocolate, until you have a runny, melted sauce. Serve right away, or pour into an airtight jar to save until later.

If you like, add a little glug of liquor to brighten up this sauce a little! Recipe serves 6.
