Cinnamon Banana Chips recipe

Preparation Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 2 hours

Banana is brushed with lemon juice and water, sprinkled with cinnamon, then baked in the oven until crisp and chewy. Serve as a snack or stir into homemade granola.

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

  1. Peel the bananas. Slice, discarding the ends, into slices of around 1/3 of a cm thick.

  2. Arrange the banana slices on non stick baking trays. Combine lemon juice and water and brush onto the banana slices, then sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and salt.

  3. Bake the chips for 2 hours at 120C. Let them cool on a wire rack.

If you like, don't bother with the cinnamon. You could use ginger instead or even nutmeg. Recipe makes enough for 2 servings.
