Avocado Stuffed with Crab recipe

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Crab meat is mixed with a little oil, mustard, seasoning, chilli and spring onions before being stuffed into sweet, creamy avocado halves. Perfect as a starter as it requires little preparation and cna be put together in no time at all.


  • 2 avocados
  • 100g white crab meat
  • 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 small red chilli
  • Small handful fresh basil leaves
  • 3 spring onions
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Slice the avocados in half and remove the stones.

  2. Slice the chilli in half, scrape the seeds out with the back of your knife and shred the chilli. Thinly slice the onions on the diagonal and shred the basil leaves.

  3. Stir together the crab meat, chilli, onions and basil, Whisk together the oil and mustard and pour over. Toss to combine and season to taste.

  4. Serve the crab mix piled into the avocado halves.

For a little extra heat, feel free to add more chilli, or for a zesty twist, omit the Dijon and use lime juice. Recipe serves 4 as a starter.
