These pancakes are flavoured with cocoa powder and dark chocolate chips, too - making them extra moreish. You can mix together the dry ingredients in an entire jar and just add the wet ingredients when needed - perfect for breakfast in a hurry.
- 220g plain flour
- 1 tbsp. + 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tbsp. caster sugar
- 1 tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 50g dark chocolate chips
- 300ml milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp. melted butter
Sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar, cocoa powder and salt. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Whisk together milk, egg and butter. Gradually whisk the wet mix into the dry mix.
Lightly grease a large frying pan. Drop 4 tbsp. of the batter into the frying pan. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface of the pancake, then flip and fry until golden on either side.
