Chocolate truffles are one of the tastiest treats for the whole family. This simple recipe is made with milk and dark chocolate, along with butter and icing sugar, giving them a wonderfully fudgy texture.
- 100g dark chocolate
- 100g milk chocolate
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 4 tbsp. icing sugar
- 1 egg yolk
Break the chocolate into a bowl. Add the butter and melt over a pan of simmering water until melted and smooth. Take the bowl off the heat and leave to cool slightly.
Add the egg yolk and beat into the chocolate until thickened. Leave to cool in the fridge until set, then roll into balls. If desired, coat in icing sugar or cocoa powder.
