These easy brownies use some basic storecupboard ingredients, plus melted chocolate and chopped walnuts to make a delicious dense and squidgy brownie.
- 450g dark brown sugar
- 175g butter
- 3 eggs
- 125g dark chocolate, melted and cooled to room temperature
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 125g plain flour
- 125g chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 120C and grease a 20x20 baking tin.
Beat together the sugar and butter until pale and fluffy, then beat in the eggs one at a time. Stir in the melted chocolate and vanilla, then stir in the flour and fold in the walnuts. Pour into the baking tin.
Bake for an hour or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Serve warm or chill until dense and fudgey.
