This ice cream is super rich and super creamy, perfect for kids - it can be made in the freezer without an ice cream maker and all you have to do is mix everything together. Add the flavourings of your choice - crushed nuts and chopped biscuits are a yummy addition.
- 475ml double cream
- 400g condensed milk
- 125ml full fat milk
- 1 tbsp. vanilla essence or extract
- Pinch salt
Combine condensed milk, milk, vanilla and salt together in a large bowl. In another bowl, beat the cream until nearly stiff peaks form. Don't overwhisk the cream as it'll turn into butter - it should just hold its shape. Gently fold the cream into the milk mixture.
Pour the mixture into a freezer-proof container and cover. Freeze for four hours, stirring after two. Take the container out of the freezer for 15 minutes before serving.
