Garlic and Parsley Bread recipe

Preparation Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 3 hours

This delicious loaf is flavoured with garlic and parsley and makes a yummy base for extra-garlicky garlic bread - but works fantastically as it is served with a big bowl of chilli or bolognese.


  • 400g bread flour
  • 225ml warm water
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tbsp. dried milk powder
  • 1 tbsp. caster sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. dried parsley
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed into a paste
  • 2 tsp. dried active baking yeast


  1. Put flour, water, butter, milk powder, sugar, salt, parsley, garlic and yeast into the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer.

  2. Select Basic Bread cycle and press Start.

For a richer, sweeter flavour, roast the garlic cloves before putting them into the loaf. Recipe makes 1 loaf.
