Runner beans are fried off with plenty of garlic, salt and pepper in this delicious recipe, then topped with a good handful of grated parmesan cheese.
- 800g runner beans, trimmed and sliced
- 1 medium head garlic, peeled and sliced
- 30g butter
- 3 tbsp. oil
- Good pinch each salt and black pepper
- Good handful freshly grated parmesan
Melt butter and oil together in a large frying pan. Add the garlic and fry for 2-3 minute over a low heat until lightly golden, then add the beans and fry for 8-10 minutes or until tender - keep your eye on them and stir often to make sure that the garlic doesn't burn.
Season the beans really well with salt and pepper. To serve, sprinkle with parmesan.
