Honey Mustard Turkey Crown recipe

Honey and mustard is a classic flavour combination, and using the two ingredients to roast a turkey makes for an unusual and alternative turkey dinner. Honey and mustard combine with butter to create a sweet, buttery turkey dish perfect for the whole family.


  • 1 3kg turkey crown
  • 5 tbsp. runny honey
  • 3 tbsp. English mustard
  • 50g melted butter
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Mix together the honey, mustard, butter and salt and pepper.

  2. Place the turkey into a roasting dish and spoon over the mixture.

  3. Roast in a 170C oven for 1 and 3/4 hours to 2 1/2 hours, or until the juices run clear. Baste frequently.

Serve this with roasters, mashed potato, gravy - all the trimmings, or wait for it to go cold and use in sandwiches. This recipe serves 8.
