This recipe sounds super weird, but the secret ingredient - cola - lends a bit of sweetness and helps to keep the burgers nice and moist. Serve with soft white rolls.
- 675g minced steak
- 125ml cola
- 1 egg
- 35g Italian breadcrumbs
- 6 tbsp. Italian salad dressing
- 2 tbsp. grated parmesan
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
Mix together the egg, half the cola, the breadcrumbs, 2 tbsp. salad dressing, parmesan, black pepper and minced steak. Use your hands to ensure that all of the ingredients are properly combined.
Form the mixture into 6 burgers. Combine the remaining dressing and cola in a bowl.
Grill the burgers on either side to form a crust - around 1-2 minutes. Brush with the dressing and cola mixture. BBQ the burgers (or continue grilling or fry) for a further 4-5 minutes either side, brushing regularly with the dressing and cola mixture.
