Halloumi cheese is sliced into fingers, then fried and sprinkled with lemon juice, dried oregano and a pinch of black pepper in this easy dish. Serve with a large salad, olives and some grilled chicken for a delicious meal.
- 175g halloumi
- 1/2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
Slice the halloumi into thick fingers. Heat the oil in a frying pan, then add the halloumi and fry on either side for 1-2 minutes or until a golden crust forms on the cheese.
Tip onto a large platter and whilst still hot from the pan, sprinkle with lemon, thyme and black pepper.
