Banana Flapjacks recipe

Preparation Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Banana gives these lovely flapjacks a lovely sweet edge. For extra flavour, drizzle them with melted dark and white chocolate.


  • 200g butter
  • 160g brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp. golden syrup
  • 450g rolled oats
  • 2 mashed bananas


  1. Melt butter, sugar and golden syrup together over a low heat until the sugar dissolves into the butter. Mash in the banana, stir in the oats, then spread into a shallow greased baking tin.

  2. Bake at 180C for 20 minutes or until lightly golden on top. Take the flapjack out of the oven and cut into squares.

If you like, stir in some chocolate chips. Recipe makes around 9 squares.
