This easy peasy dessert is excellent for a dinner party - easy to make, easy to prepare and even easier to eat. It can also be prepared in advance. Don't shy away from the chilli in this recipe - it isn't too hot and works brilliantly with the mango.
- 3 mangoes
- 1 dstsp. crushed red dried chilli flakes
- 2 tbsp. caster sugar
- Zest of 1 unwaxed lime
Peel the mangoes, remove the stones and slice thinly. Place into a bowl or spread over a serving platter.
Place the sugar and chilli into a pestle and mortar and bash until the chilli is broken up. Add the lime zest and continue bashing until the sugar is speckled green.
Sprinkle the sugar over the mango slices to serve.
