Mango and Peach Salsa recipe

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

This sweet spicy salsa is the perfect side dish for any BBQ - it will work well with all sorts of grilled meat and fish dishes, or you could serve it with burgers, salad or grilled vegetables.


  • 2 mangoes
  • 2 peaches
  • 2 red chillies
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp. freshly chopped root ginger
  • 4 tbsp. lime juice
  • Small handful freshly chopped basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Peel the mangoes and chillies and remove the stones, then finely dice into cubes.

  2. Slice the chillies in half lengthways and scrape out the seeds with the back of your knife, then finely dice the flesh. Mince the garlic cloves.

  3. Combine the mangoes, peaches, chilli, garlic, ginger, lime, basil and salt and pepper in a bowl. Cover and put into the fridge until you're ready to serve.

If you like, use coriander in place of the basil for an Indian twist on the dish. Recipe serves 12.
