Oriental Smoked Salmon Salad recipe

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Smoked salmon, avocado and crisp cucumber combie in this easy salad, but what really makes it stand out is the fantastic dressing, made with lime juice, soy sauce, chilli and sesame oil. Perfect as a starter or as an omega-3 boosting lunch.


  • 400g smoked salmon
  • 2 avocados
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • Small handful freshly chopped coriander
  • Zest of 2 limes, juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp. caster sugar
  • 1 red chilli


  1. Slice the avocados in half, remove the stones and scoop out the flesh with a spoon. Thinly slice the cucumber into ribbons. Arrange the smoked salmon, avocados and cucumber on a platter.

  2. Slice the chilli in half and remove the seeds with the back of your knife. Finely dice. Whisk together the lime juice, lime zest, soy sauce, sesame oil, caster sugar and chilli and drizzle over the salad to serve.

For extra heat, leave the dressing to sit for at least a day before serving. Recipe serves 4.
