This simple spicy prawn dish works well on the BBQ, under the grill or on a griddle pan. Prawns are tossed with a mixture of paprika, cayenne, garlic, lemon juice and sea salt before being BBQed until pink.
- 1kg fresh king prawns, cleaned, deveined, ready to eat
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. sea salt
- 1 tsp. sweet paprika
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
Crush the garlic cloves. Whisk with the olive oil, lemon juice, sea salt, paprika and cayenne to form a paste. Add the prawns and toss to coat in the paste.
Heat a BBQ to a medium heat and lightly oil the cooking grate. Add the prawns and cook for 1-2 minutes either side until pink, grill for 5 minutes or cook in a griddle pan for 1-2 minutes either side.
