These crisp, salty and savoury crostinis are perfect for serving as a dinner party starter or as a little nibble at parties. Ciabatta is toasted and topped with sliced pears, gorgonzola cheese and delicious walnuts before being baked to perfection.
- 1 ciabatta loaf
- 2 pears
- 4 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 225g gorgonzola
- 125g walnuts
Preheat the oven to 180C Slice the ciabatta into half cm slices. Toast for about 20 seconds on either side on a griddle pan.
Peel, core and thinly slice the pears. Crumble the cheese and crush the walnuts, if whole.
Brush the ciabatta with oil. Put a slice of pear onto each ciabatta slice. Sprinkle on a little cheese and some walnuts. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the pears browned.
