These lovely little pastry squares are perfect for serving up at a party. Pear, golden onions and goat's cheese top puff pastry triangles and are baked until golden, melting and crisp. For extra flavour, feel free to add some fresh herbs.
- 1 x 375g packet ready-rolled puff pastry
- 1 pear
- 50g soft goat's cheese
- 2 red onions
- 25g butter
- 1 tsp. oil
- Salt and black pepper
Preheat the oven to 190C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Peel, core and slice the pears. Thinly slice the red onions. Heat the butter and oil together and add the onions. Fry for 30-40 minutes until golden and soft, stirring often. Cool.
Slice the puff pastry into 9 squares, then slice each square in half diagonally to create triangles. Place onto the prepared baking sheet. Add a slice of pear, a teaspoon of the onions and a teaspoon of the goat's cheese to each triangle. Bake in the prepared oven for 20 minutes or until the pastry is golden, then leave to cool before serving.
