This fragrant and flavourful pizza sauce is an excellent topping for any pizza - leave it to sit overnight for the best flavour.
- 175g tomato puree
- 5 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 tbsp. freshly chopped oregano
- 1/2 tbsp. chopped dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. chopped dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper
- 150ml water
Mince the garlic cloves. Combine the tomato puree and oil, then stir in the garlic, oregano, basil, rosemary and salt and pepper. Gradually stir in water until you reach the desired consistency.
Leave to sit under cling wrap overnight until ready to use. Spread on pizza bases to use.
