This brilliantly flavourful casserole uses just a handful of ingredients to create a rich, filling and super versatile family dinner. Sserve with creamy mashed potatoes and plenty of veggies.
- 4 pork chops, fat trimmed
- 3 apples, cored, sliced
- 2 onions, sliced
- 500ml cider
- 1 tsp. wholegrain mustard
- 2 fresh sage leaves, finely sliced
- Salt and black pepper
Layer apples and onions in the bottom of a slow cooker and put the pork on top. Mix the sage and mustard into the cider and pour over the pork, then add a pinch of salt and pepper.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. If the sauce is too thin, add cornflour to thicken.
