Prawn and Halloumi Skewers recipe

Preparation Time: 1 hours | Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Prawns and halloumi chunks are marinated, then threaded onto skewers and griddled until golden and tender in this delicious recipe.


  • 250g halloumi
  • 250g prawns, deveined, ready to cook
  • 4 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 tbsp. lime juice
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
  • Black pepper


  1. Mince the garlic cloves and cube the halloumi so that it's a similar size to the prawns. Whisk oil, lime juice, cumin, garlic, paprika and black pepper together. Pour over the halloumi and prawns, cover and marinate for 1 hour.

  2. Drain from the marinade, then thread onto soaked wooden skewers. BBQ or cook on a griddle pan for 4-6 minutes, turning once or twice, until the cheese is golden and the prawns pink and cooked through.

Serve these skewers over a light salad. Make up more of the marinade to use as a dressing. Recipe serves 4.
