Baked Prawns, Tomatoes and Feta recipe

Preparation Time: 15 minutes | Cooking Time: 30 minutes

This Greek-inspired dish combines juicy king prawns, fresh tomatoes, onion, garlic, wine, oregano, parsley and feta cheese. Serve with bread to mop up all of the delicious juices you'll get during cooking.


  • 1kg king prawns, peeled, deveined and cleaned
  • 2 medium onions
  • 350g peeled tomatoes
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 125ml white wine
  • Small handful freshly chopped parsley
  • 1 tbsp. freshly chopped oregano
  • Salt and pepper
  • 100g feta cheese
  • 4 tbsp. oil


  1. Finely dice the onions and chop the tomatoes. Mince the garlic cloves. Heat oil in a large frying pan. Fry the onion until golden, then add the garlic and fry until fragrant. Add the tomatoes, wine, most of the parsley, oregano, salt and pepper. Stir to combine and simmer for 15 minutes until thickened.

  2. Spread half the tomato mixture in a baking dish, layer the prawns onto the sauce and cover with the rest of the tomatoes. Crumble the feta over the top. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the prawns are pink and opaque and the feta is golden.

If you like, use a tin of drained chopped tomatoes in place of the fresh tomatoes to make things easier. Recipe serves 4.
