Easy Rainbow Jelly recipe

Shop-bought jellies can be very boring, but this simple rainbow idea is a wonderful way to serve shop-bought jelly and it is especially good for children's parties. It's a lot of work, but it is most definitely worth it!

Ingredients

  • 7 x 135g packets shop bought jellies, in different flavours of your choice
  • 375ml evaporated milk
  • Boiling water

Directions

  1. Make up four of the jellies in four separate bowls, each with 450ml boiling water. Stir well and let the jellies cool to room temperature.

  2. Make up the remaining 3 jellies in 3 separate bowls, each with 225ml boiling water and 125ml evaporated milk. Stir the jelly with the boiling water and once smooth and cooled, add the evaporated milk and stir well.

  3. Layer the jellies in a jelly dish or mould. Start with a clear jelly, then put it into the fridge and let it set, then add a creamy jelly, then leave it to set, then repeat until you've used all of the jellies. You may find it easier just to make the jellies up as the jelly in the fridge is setting, as otherwise, you may find the jellies that you've made up set whilst you're waiting for the jellies in the fridge to set.

You can of course make your jellies up from scratch. If you're making this for children, use sugar-free jelly. Recipe serves 12.
