Real Mojito recipe

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Mojitos are one of the best cocktails - they are sweet, sour and refreshing, all at once. Remember not to stain the mixture - you're supposed to leave the drink as it is for the best flavour.

10 fresh mint leaves
1/2 lime, sliced into 4 wedges
2 tbsp. sugar
5 ice cubes
1 shot of rum
Soda water

  1. Place mint leaves and 1 slice of lime into a large glass. Use a swizzel stick or long spoon to crush the leaves and lime together.

  2. Add 2 more lime slices and the sugar. Crush again to release more juice.

  3. Fill the glass with ice. Pour the rum over the rice, then add soda water to the top of the glass. Stir with a long spoon. Garnish with the remaining lime wedge.

This recipe is for one, but you can easily adjust amounts to serve multiple people.
