Caramelised Red Onion Cheesy Pork Chops recipe

Preparation Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 20 minutes

These rich and rather decadent pork chops are incredibly easy to make but you'll be pleasantly surprised at the results - pork is baked until golden and almost cooked through, then topped with caramelised red onion chutney, mustard, thyme and cheddar cheese. Delish!

  • 4 pork chops
  • 2 tsp oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 tbsp. caramelised red onion chutney
  • 50g grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. English mustard
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme

  1. Rub the chops with the oil and season with salt and pepper on either side. Put into a 180C oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, turning half way through cooking.

  2. Take the chops out of the oven and brush one side of each chop with a little bit of the mustard. Coat each chop with 1 tbsp. of the chutney. Mix together the cheese and thyme and sprinkle evenly over the chops.

  3. Bake until the cheese turns golden and bubbly.

Leave the chops to cool for 5 minutes before serving. If you prefer, you can use cheshire cheese or any strong, crumbly white cheese. Recipe serves 4.
