Scotch pancakes are thicker and fluffier than traditional pancakes and make for a fantastic breakfast - plus, they use just four ingredients. Here's how to make them.
- 50g caster sugar
- 100g plain flour
- 1 egg
- Dash of milk
Sift together the sugar and flour into a large bowl. Whisk in the egg - the mix will be lumpy so don't worry.
Pour in enough milk to create a batter that's thick, around the same consistency of double cream.
Grease the frying pan, then add a small ladleful of batter to the pan. When bubbles appear on the surface of the pancake, flip and cook until golden brown.
