A proper hot chocolate is thick, creamy and wonderfully rich. This hot chocolate uses a little Irish cream liquor for added flavour, but you can easily omit it if you'd prefer.
- 100g dark chocolate
- 125ml full fat milk
- 125ml double cream
- 4 tbsp. Irish cream liquor
Break the chocolate up into squares. Place into a mixing bowl.
Put the milk, cream and liquor into a saucepan. Heat over a medium heat until almost simmering but not quite, then pour the mix over the chocolate and mix with a wooden spoon until the chocolate is completely melted.
Divide the mix between two mugs.
