This spicy chicken jalfrezi is packed with chillies, peppers and curry spice - yum yum! Serve over rice or with a naan bread.
- 4 chicken breasts, diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 green chillies, seeds scraped, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp. plain flour
- 400g passata
- 1 tsp. each ground coriander and cumin
- 2 red peppers, seeds removed, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. chilli powder
- 2 tsp. garam masala
- 2 1/2 tsp. curry powder
- 2 tbsp. oil
Coat chicken in flour and brown in oil in a frying pan. Add the chillies, coriander, cumin, chilli powder, garam masala and curry powder and fry until fragrant. Pour into the slow cooker.
Stir in the onio, garlic, green chillies, passata and red peppers. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until the chicken is tender.
