Pop this porridge into your slow cooker before you go to bed and you'll have a dreamy, creamy porridge when you wake up!
- 1 cup jumbo oats
- 4 cups milk (900ml)
- 4 tbsp. brown sugar
- Dried fruits, to taste (blueberries, cranberries and cherries are lovely), around 75g
Put the oats, milk, sugar, dried fruits and a pinch of salt into the slow cooker. Stir, cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
In the morning, stir the porridge to get rid of the crust, then serve with the toppings or flavours of your choice - cinnamon, honey, banana or even lashings of maple syrup.
