Cabbage is stir-fried in a simple yet delicious sauce made with soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, Cayenne pepper and salt - it's perfect served alongside marinated Chinese chicken or with stir-fried veggie noodles.
- 500g cabbage
- 2 tbsp. each soy sauce, caster sugar and white vinegar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. Cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp. oil
Slice the cabbage into thin strands. Blend together the soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper.
Heat oil in a wok over a medium heat and add the cabbage. Stir-fry the cabbage until coated in oil and wilted. The cabbage should be tender.
Pour the sauce over the cabbage and boil hard for a minute or two or until reduced. Serve hot.
