Fresh strawberries are steeped in sugar syrup and vodka in this easy peasy recipe for strawberry liqueur. Best served chilled over ice.
- 350g ripe strawberries, hulled
- 350g caster sugar
- 125ml water
- 350ml vodka
Put the strawberries, sugar, water and vodka into a jar. Shake until the sugar dissolves.
Steep in a cool spot for 1 month, shaking a few times every day to mix up all the ingredients.
Pour through a muslin cloth. Discard the strawberries and pour into a clean bottle. Steep for a little while longer or serve right away.
